The Nightingale a song from Ballycastle, Co Antrim, very near to where I was born and raised.
The Breaking of Omagh Jail a song from County Tyrone.
Set of Jigs: Hugh McKiddon's/The Silver Lining/Frolics in the Friary Three jigs I wrote; the first in November 2007, the other two in 2005.
The Three Huntsmen an Ulster version of a well-known story with a unique ending.
The Black Velvet Band a song from Belfast that's been done to death, and one that I attempted to re-think in order to capture the essence of the story better.
Set of Reels: Islands on the Moon/The Borrowed Reel/Peter MacAskill's Breakfast/The Virginia the first three reels are tunes I wrote in 2004.
The Lag Song a song from the pen of Ewan MacColl, one of the great songwriters of the 20th Century.
Shane Crossagh a song from Co Derry that is based on a true story, as they like to say in Hollywood!
The Quaker's Song the perfect folk song, for me. It has an interesting story and a comedic twist in the tale.
A 1798 March a martial tune from the time of the 1798 Rebellion, just to demonstrate that marches aren't the exclusive property of the Orange section of Irish society!
The Banks of Newfoundland another local version of a well known folk story.
